Education Co-creation Lab, Feb. 2017. Aaron Kirunda

The vision of the Education C-Lab is to catalyse a process of thoughtful collaboration with multi-disciplinary stakeholders in order to synthesize Uganda’s resources towards innovative and systemic impact in education. This process is being led by Aaron Kirunda of Uganda Spelling Bee. Preliminary research led to the co-creation of a foundational strategy. Presently, the process is briefly paused while a significant funding opportunity to support some of the pioneering team is being pursued.

Education Catalyst Engagements

On 25th February 2017, Leadership555 hosted an education specific catalyst engagement. There were six participants present including a head of school, a pastor and an educator leading a radical literacy project in Uganda. The focus of this engagement was systemic thinking about education challenges in the nation; the participants explored the iceberg model and were challenged to investigate mental paradigms and cultures that create pervasive education problems. Participants also co-created a forward-looking framework that would guide their continued collaboration, thus kicking off the education C-Lab.
